Tender for the $2.4 billion Padma Multi-purpose Bridge are likely to be invited late this month or in early April, sources in the Economic Relations Division said.

World Bank earmarks $1.2b to support Padma bridge
Rapid progress is being made on the proposed Padma Bridge megaproject, according to the World Bank. The massive US$1.2 billion project is scheduled for completion in 2014, and would link the southwest of the country with Dhaka.
