Tickets for ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 go on sale tomorrow

Tickets for the ICC Cricket World Cup’2011 will go on sale tomorrow (Sunday) at the eighty branches of The City Bank and Agrani Bank across the country.

Fifty branches of The City Bank and 30 branches of Agrani Bank will sell the tickets of eight World Cup matches to be held in Bangladesh from 10 am to 6 pm every day.

Tickets for the opening ceremony to be held on February 17 at Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka will be released later on.

Cricket fans will be able collect a receipt (replica of ticket) for the World Cup matches from the selected branches of the two banks showing their national ID card, other official ID, passport, driving license, mobile phone number and important personal data.

The sale process of World Cup ticket will take a little time as the bank branches will have to enter the personal data of the ticket purchaser in the online system through internet. The banks will release maximum 1480 tickets from any given branch.

Bangladesh will host the eight World Cup matches including two quarterfinals in Dhaka and Chittagong, and the opening ceremony on February 17 at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka.

ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 tickets will be available at the following branches of The City Bank and Agrani Bank:
