A house wife was burnt to death at West Bandutia village under Municipality area in Manikganj on Thursday night. The victim was identified as Hos Nahar Khushi (43) wife of retired army Mizanur Rahman of the village.
Mizanur Rahman, husband of the victim, said his wife took meal with the entire family member at around 9:00 pm. After taking meal, she went to another room for taking betel leaf and later she went out the house for visiting neighboring house as usual.
Suddenly Mizanur Rahman with his daughter Nila (18) and baby son heard Khushi’s crying at around 9:40 pm beside the house. They opened the door and saw she was burning with fire. They tried to remove fire with the water but the maximum portion of the entire body was burnt. Khushi was taken to Manikganj sadar Hospital at around 10:30pm. She was died on way to Dhaka Medical College hospital at around 11:30 pm, police said. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Manikganj Police Station Azizul Haque said he with police officials visited the spot and found a can of Kerosene oil from there. An UD case has been filed with the police station on Friday.
Hos Nahar Khushi (43), daughter of late Rahman Hawlader of Abirpara village under Sirajdikhan upazila in Munshiganj district, got married with the army man Mizanur Rahman of West Bandutia village in Manikganj 27 years ago. She was the mother of two daughters and a son.
